To maintain a stable supply of safe, life-saving blood for regional hospitals, the Office of the Vice President-Panay and Negros Islands Satellite Office (OVP-PNI SO) led a sequence of blood donation drives from March to July 2026.

Organized alongside the Philippine Red Cross and the Negros First Provincial Blood Center, the health campaign successfully registered over 340 donors. Notably, the Negros First Provincial Blood Center was recently hailed as an OVP Pasidungog awardee in recognition of its long-standing, dependable alliance in promoting public healthcare.

A wide array of local volunteers participated throughout the multi-month project, including law enforcement officers, military personnel, educators, barangay officials, private employees, and various community groups from across Negros Occidental.

Every gathered blood bag was immediately forwarded to the collaborative health institutions for appropriate screening, safe storage, and eventual distribution to patients in urgent need of transfusions.

The OVP-PNI SO highlighted that these initiatives are central to its mission of expanding vital medical services at the grassroots level. Extending its deep appreciation to all participating groups and individual volunteers, the office called on the general public to actively support future bloodletting activities.
