The Office of the Vice President-Disaster Operations Center (OVP-DOC) provided relief assistance to 2,100 fishing families and members of the LGBTQIA+ community in Olongapo City, Zambales, on September 9, 2026.
The recipients were among the communities badly affected by the recent storm and southwest monsoon, which caused heavy rainfall and unfavorable weather conditions in various parts of the country.
As part of the relief effort, each beneficiary received food packs and other essential donations from the OVP’s partner organizations and supporters. The assistance was intended to help families address their basic needs while recovering from the effects of the disaster.
The OVP conveyed its appreciation to private organizations, groups, and individuals for their continued support and contributions to relief operations for disaster-affected communities.
Through the OVP-DOC, the office continues to provide assistance to vulnerable sectors and communities as they recover and rebuild following natural disasters.
